Play On, in collaboration with Cville Performing Arts, announces auditions for the regional premiere of Frank Wildhorn’s award-winning Broadway musical, Jekyll & Hyde.
Director Jeremy Caplin is looking for up to 26 men and women of varied ages, types, vocal ranges and ethnicities for this mesmerizing and vocally challenging musical theatre extravaganza.
Auditions will be held on Sunday, June 3 and Monday, June 4;
at 7:00 pm each evening.
Appointments are not necessary, and those auditioning may attend either session.
The roles of Jekyll/Hyde and Lucy have already been cast, but all other principal roles, as well as the ensemble, are being cast through open auditions. All auditioners should prepare a song from musical theatre, preferably contemporary and dramatic. Those called back may be asked to sing something from this show, so familiarity in advance will be a plus. An accompanist will be provided. Dress comfortably for movement.
Jekyll & Hyde will open at Play On’s Theatre at Ix on October 26, 2012 and will run thru November 11.
